Get Your Hands on the Alpacas!

Christmas Open Barn --  Our Christmas Open Barn weekends were great fun! Several hundred visitors stopped by on the four weekends leading up to Christmas to help us celebrate the holidays, alpaca-style. They brought kids, grandkids, parents, friends and neighbors to meet the alpacas and find out why alpaca fleece is so special. Many of our visitors found the perfect gift from the alpaca yarn, sweaters, blankets, rugs, toys, socks, scarves, shawls and other gifts featured in our farm store. One lucky alpaca fan won the drawing for a $50 gift certificate to apply towards anything in the store (also good towards the purchse of an alpaca!). Congratulations! Houndstooth-scarf.jpg

Farm Store -- Our farm store is open at any time with a phone call (970-331-9775). All you have to do is let us know you're coming, and we'll make sure the gate is open for you.

Farm Visits for Prospective Alpaca Ranchers -- As alpaca breeders, we are always available for anyone who is interested in raising alpacas. We'll be pleased to answer your questions about their care, their fiber and anything else you want to know about alpacas. We have pet-quality animals available for sale, as well as top-quality, award-winning seedstock. In other words, we have the perfect alpacas for you! Simply give us a call and let us know when you'd like to come for a visit.

Education -- If you're not quite ready to dive in, but you'd like to put your toe in the water, consider one of our two educational options for prospective alpaca owners:

* Alpacas at Altitude is a day-and-a-half basic alpaca seminar, that touches on just about all aspects of raising alpacas. We offer this seminar several times a year, according to demand. Learn more about this fun, hands-on class. And we can't guarantee it, but sometimes a baby is born while you're here and you get to be the first one to hold it. (See photo of Cammie with Victor. Do you think Cammie is having fun?)

*  Your Day on the Farm is a focused all-day experience designed for people who have calendars that make attending a scheduled seminar challenging and/or those who have specific and individual topics that they want to explore. Your Day on the Farm is just that -- it's an entire day that we devote to you. You decide what we talk about and what we do. We can guide you through topics we think are important, we can let you guide the discussion, or we can see where the day takes us. Give us a call at 970-331-9775 to learn more or to schedule Your Day on the Farm.
